Week10 - Enemies and Interaction
I will update some game info before writing this week's Devlog. The game characters and related background images have been found and updated, and the game map is still being made.
The character movement keys are A and D or the left and right. The jump key is the space and presses the space bar twice to achieve a double jump. Long press S to turn into a ball to cross low obstacles, and long press W to become a character Standing form; grey blocks can only be destroyed by bullets fired in a spherical shape.
Puzzles and Interaction
While walking, the player will encounter the red ball on the map. He will obtain different abilities when the player walks over and touches the red ball. There are five different abilities for players to explore and discover, including fake red balls.
Enemies
The enemy is not a single kind, but there are 3 different kinds of enemies.
1. Walking on the ground
Enemies walking on the ground will chase the player during the player's actions. Players will lose their health when an enemy touches them. Enemies that walk on the ground are simple mode. They only move at one speed and do less damage.
2. Flying in the sky
Enemies flying in the sky will be more challenging than enemies walking on the ground. They are swift and follow the player constantly, losing a full HP when the player touches them.
3. Boss
The boss will appear at the last level of the map. Since the boss's image can't be shown for some reason, I'm looking for a new model, and I'll post the boss's model as soon as possible. In the end, the boss will have a health bar, and the player needs to clear the boss's health bar to win the final victory. In the battle, the boss will also fire bullets like the player, and it will move randomly and be challenging to be accurately shot by the player.
Feedback
The overall model is good, but the map still needs to be more refined.
